The project included time spent in three rural villages in the Wayanad district of Kerala, during January 2018 to gain insights into the cultural context, the healthcare support available, the technology infrastructure, and the initiatives already undertaken by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The contextual study also included discussions with healthcare workers working in the three villages and with doctors at the Amrita Kripa Charitable Hospital, Wayanad to get a deeper understanding of their situation, challenges, desires and ideas.
